Baska lies at the extreme southeast end of the island of Krk (75 km from Rijeka) in an attractive bay fringed by a natural, eighteen-hundred-metre long pebble beach.

Cultural and historical monuments
Medieval castle with little Church of St Ivan. Burned in conflict between Hungary and Venice, 1380. First building by the sea in the 16th century.
• Parish Church of the Holy Trinity (beginning of 18th century) with pictures of Marco Marcialo, Madonna with Saints and Angels, and by Giacomo Palma, Last Supper.
• Shrine of Our Lady of Gorica
• Chapel of St Mark on Roman mosaics, and necropolis of 1st century, several chapels
• Korinthia Fort between Vela and Mala Luka (Big and Little Port)
