On the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, thousands and thousands of believers join in the pilgrimage to the Aljmaš Shrine, the most renowned Marian shrine in the Osijek- Baranja County. Over the past few years, the shrine has had some of the most glorious moments in its four-centuries- long history. According to many believers, the new Church of the Visitation of Virgin Mary, built in the same place where the old one used to stand, is even more resplendent.
