Miserly land that holds onto its treasure
In the middle of the summer tourist season, when the beaches are packed and the hotels are full, the people of Primošten take the opportunity to show their guests how they used to live and what their ancestors used to do.
Primoštenske užance, a very famous festival, is a traditional folk celebration that aims to preserve and nurture the traditional ethno-heritage of Primošten. Visitors can enjoy the sights of Primošten weddings, boules tournaments, donkey races, regattas, and finally all the delights that are offered by a fish evening: locally caught fish and top quality wine.
