Though Malmsey may not be the wine which is automatically linked to the Istrian peninsula, the true connoisseurs are fully aware of its superb quality. It makes one’s palate tingle, and fills one’s heart with joy. The reason for this lies in the specific method if its production, where the Istrian wine makers skilfully combine the traditional and the modern ways of both grapevine cultivation and wine production.
