Owing to the numerous festivals cultivating the autochthonous Dalmatian music, its popularity has spread far beyond Dalmatia. One of the events that takes credit for this is the Omiš Dalmatian Harmony Singing Festival, which has fostered the traditional sound of our coast and islands for three decades.
Every year, the best of harmony singing groups come together in Omiš - both to preserve and promote Dalmatian melodies and to modernize them, because harmony singing compositions attract more and more young talented musicians bringing a breath of fresh air to this art. /Text source: Croatian National Tourist Board/
