On 21 June, the summer solstice, all enthusiasts of astronomy come together at the hill near the famous Višnjan observatory. The day with the shortest night in the year which, many a legend would have it, is linked to numerous mystic beliefs, is celebrated in a special way.
Astrofest is an all-night program of music and performing arts commencing with the last sun rays in the evening and ending with the first sun rays in the morning, accompanied by hypnotic rhythm of drums.
